Animations

My very first animation. It amaze me how much better I have improved since then. I created this video in Foundation of 3D. The timing of my animation is horrible. The character looks like a robot when walking. All the models, animation, lighting, shading was done by me.

My first full animation class. These are all of my animation done in that class. We learn about the fundaments of walk, bouncing ball, and making motion feel fluid. All animation was done in Maya. I only did the animation, the models, rigs, props, lighting, and shading was provided to me by Full Sail.

My animation from Lesson 1 in Character Animation class. I learn how to do a simple walk. I created a two MEL buttons that select all the controls, and a MEL button that keys all the controls. Things I worked on is to make the legs and hips move in a natural way by using 12 frames animation. Once the legs and hips are correct, then I corrected all the issues with the feet. Finally, at the end, I created a turnaround animation so the character will be facing the mailbox. This project was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it.

Lesson 2 for Character Animation class, I created a simple video for seven strong poses. I created the poses based on emotions, and tried to show the emotions by posing the character and only showing the silhouette. I feel that I was mostly successful, but I needed to improve on some of the poses. Character Animation 2 Pantomime Project Blocking Stage Here is the blocking stage of my Pantomime project. All my poses are set in block stepped, matching up the poses to my pre pro. I have to say that I am off to a great start. I can already see what improvements that need to be made. I can't wait to see the final results of this project. Final Results Here is my Pantomime project. This project was somewhat successful. I could have improved a little bit more. But I am pleased how the project turned out and I can't wait until the lip sync project! Lip Sync Project Pre Pro
Backstory The main character, Samuel Adams, is very loyal to his city of Detroit. He lived and worked in the city of Detroit his entire life. He rarely gets out to the city, as everything he needs is already in Detroit. He even married his high school sweetheart. He is a third generation auto plant worker, working on the Ford Assembly line by installing the logo onto the bumpers of each car. Sam only buys American products; he refuses to buy anything made from another country. Sam is a very likeable guy, always social and friendly with friends and families. But he can be sarcastic. Sometimes, it’s hard to tell if Samuel is either being serious or not. Samuel is very hyper and animated when he talks, he always moving his hands and moves his lip really fast. Sam has hit a few people in the face by mistake due to his wide hands and arm movements. Blocking Stage Here is the blocking stage of the lip sync project. I am trying to match up my strong poses from my pre pro to the audio clip. At this stage, my goal is to find out if my pre pro is successful and if I need to make any changes Work in Progress stage After the blocking stage, I have all the movement set up in auto tangent and begin adding anticipation and breakdowns to my strong poses. Also, I made some changes from my blocking stage to improve the overall visual look of my animation. It starting to look better, but not quite there yet. Final Results Here is my final Lip Sync project! This project was a lot of fun but I really enjoyed it. I learned how import sound for animation and animate lip sync. Surprisingly, the lip sync was a challenge for me, considering how well I can read lips. Overall I am very pleased how this project has turned out
